Beach House

all seasons in one day 0 °C

Weather is a shockin here. alternating between rain and sunshine all the time. My clothes have been trying to dry on the line for 3 days now! So, whats been happening. On Friday we went to one of the Hostel managers Dad's beach house in KeriKeri. Some craic. Beautiful views out over the sea and really awesome scenery. Played Beach volleyball and football which knackered me but it was good aul fun. Then had a Barbie n spent the night there, taking it all fairly easy. We had a pool competition as well. Took it easy the morning after, hitting Subway for breakfast on the way home.
The van is allright, although the back right wheel was locking up again on us. The rain isn't great cause she leaks a wee bit as well. Sometimes i feel like we are just a taxi service shuttling people to and fro the shops or work but its ok I guess, and sure, why not.

Just home from church this morning. It's really quite cool now. 2 swedish chicks were there this morning which brightened things up but it's just cool cause i feel so welcomed and I'm not reallya visitor any more- becoming more part of the family. Meeting on tuesday to sort out the Boxing Day service which i think i will be taking part in in some for or another. One of the old couples, bless them, last week invited me to thei house for Christmas dinner but we refused politely on the basis that we will stay about the hostel with the kind of family that we have at the minute. I come out of church feeling so refreshed and ready for the day, and I really feel enriched asd a result of their serivces and welcome. Richard is this guy from England who's staying about the hostel and as i was explaing my dismay about the lack of a pub quiz in the area he suggested we run a hostel quiz so we might do that if the new owners give us a bit of backing. They seem dead on and it could be great craic. I loooove quizzes. I even brought my table quiz CD with me and look how it may turn out in my favour.
